A Comedy Giant’s New Chapter

Nate Bargatze has established himself as the undisputed king of comedy, becoming the #1 earning comedian globally according to Pollstar. His success has placed him alongside entertainment giants like Coldplay, Madonna, and U2, with Billboard confirming he has set a new record for the biggest one-year gross by a comedy performer in history.

Emmy Host and Beyond

In a significant career milestone, Bargatze was selected in April 2025 to host the upcoming 77th Primetime Emmy Awards. “It’s a huge honor to be asked to host such an iconic awards show, and I’m beyond excited to work with CBS to create a night that can be enjoyed by families around the world,” he shared.

Expanding Horizons

The comedian is set to make his first feature acting role in ‘The Breadwinner,’ a film he co-wrote with Dan Lagana, scheduled for release on March 13, 2026. Through his company Nateland, which operates under the mantra “Good Clean Funny,” Bargatze produces specials, live events, and podcasts featuring other clean comedians. He even harbors ambitious dreams of establishing his own theme park and movie studio in Nashville.

A Strategic Transition

Despite being one of the most successful touring comedians of all time, Bargatze is already planning the conclusion of his touring career. He intends to complete his current tour and one more before focusing on movies, expressing his desire to “build that world up and learn how to do all of that stuff” over the next 15 years.

Legacy and Impact

Bargatze’s influence extends beyond entertainment – he recently contributed $1.15 million to develop an indoor athletic facility at his alma mater, Donelson Christian Academy, which now bears his name. His dedication to Nashville’s development is evident, as he works to establish the city as a major comedy hub alongside traditional comedy capitals like New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and Austin.
