A Magical First for Canada

Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience will make its debut in Vancouver’s Stanley Park starting Friday, November 7, 2025, running nightly on Wednesdays through Sundays into early 2026.

This enchanting outdoor experience invites visitors to discover an illuminated path filled with magical creatures such as Hippogriffs and Nifflers, along with iconic wizarding wonders. The experience has already captivated over two million visitors across engagements in the United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore, France, and the United States.

What Visitors Can Expect

The attraction leads guests along a lantern-lit forest trail featuring interactive moments, stunning light displays, and beloved characters from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films. Award-winning creators have designed the walk to combine theatrical storytelling, outdoor adventure, and family-friendly fun.

Visitors will have the opportunity to cast spells, illuminate beloved Forbidden Forest scenes, try their hand at casting a Patronus, and come face-to-face with magical creatures such as Hippogriffs, Unicorns, and Nifflers. The experience is designed to be an evening for the whole family.

Practical Information

Tickets go on sale starting Wednesday, September 10, 2025, with adult admission starting at $49.50. Children under the age of three can enter for free. Time-entry tickets will be required, and organizers strongly recommend booking tickets in advance online, as tickets may be sold out for the desired time of entry upon arrival.

The experience is held outdoors without covering, and since it takes place on an outdoor trail in the winter, visitors are strongly advised to wear sturdy outdoor shoes to navigate uneven terrain and dress appropriately to stay warm and dry.

Economic Impact and Community Response

According to Royce Chwin, President & CEO of Destination Vancouver, “Stanley Park is one of the world’s most iconic urban parks and as the first Canadian destination to welcome the new Harry Potter event, it underscores Vancouver’s ability to attract unique experiences that will appeal to both locals and visitors.” The attraction is expected to strengthen Vancouver’s $9.6 billion visitor economy, supporting local jobs, businesses, and communities.
