A Milestone Season with Bold New Changes
The CBS summer reality series is celebrating its 25th anniversary with its most ‘super sized’ season yet, giving fans its most expanded season in honor of the show celebrating a quarter of a decade on the air.
Themed as ‘A Summer of Mystery’ with the house transformed into ‘Hotel Mystère,’ the season premiered on July 10, 2025, and will run for 83 days, concluding on September 28, 2025.
Expanded Format and New Features
For the first time, Big Brother is introducing extended episodes and a new biweekly alumni panel companion show called ‘Big Brother: Unlocked.’ This new addition features three BB All-Stars offering never-before-seen footage, exclusive interviews, surprise guest appearances, and unprecedented behind-the-scenes access. Former houseguests share firsthand insight and expertise as they analyze gameplay and assess the competition.
Cast and Competition
The season features 16 new houseguests, including a diverse mix of personalities such as a gamer, bridal consultant, AI consultant, and aura painter, all competing for the grand prize of $750,000. The premiere also revealed a surprising addition with the return of a reality television legend.
Big Brother alum and former winner Rachel Reilly made a dramatic entrance in her signature red ensemble, declaring ‘Reality royalty has officially arrived.’ Reilly, who previously competed on Season 12 where she met her husband Brendon Villegas, later returned for Season 13, which she won.
The Game Structure
The show continues its format of following contestants living inside a custom-built house fitted with cameras and microphones recording their every move. The houseguests remain completely sequestered from the outside world, sharing their thoughts in the private Diary Room, while competing weekly for power and safety.
The ultimate winner will receive a grand prize of $750,000, while viewers will have the opportunity to award their favorite houseguest an additional $50,000 through the ‘America’s Favorite HouseGuest’ vote.
