It's now time to go away from the large ocean liners of Norwegian and Holland America, to smaller boats. More modest in size and certainly having their place on the water, these are great for fishing, sporting and just relaxing. Because of the cost of purchase and maintenance, the old saying goes "the two best times you will have owning a boat is when you buy it and when you sell it." Or better yet, the best boats to go out on is the one your friend owns.
Sand Lake, Wisconsin - We travel back to Wisconsin for the morning fisherman's dream. The fisherman is surely enjoying the solitude at 6:00am on the northern Wisconsin lakes. As the Midwest was a childhood haunt, we often find ourselves going back for rest and relaxation.
West Palm Beach, Florida - Here is a view of the attendees in the Palm Beach International Boat Show in 2007. $350 Million worth of boats, yachts and accessories are here for your viewing pleasure. Every year vessels from around the world tie up to the docks at the shores of Palm Beach and show off the boats that separate them from the rest of the working class. It really is an amazing sight to behold at the Palm Beach International Boat Show
Florida Keys - Here's a guy who hasn't a care in the world, other than hooking his next keeper while fishing in a canoe off the shores of the Florida Keys. Canoe fishing in the Keys is a great way to get past that shoal and inside those mangroves. Catch tailing permit and bonefish as your stealthy canoe paddles throughout the habitat. If you are new to the Keys or just visiting we recommend a fishing charter so you know the hot spots.
Saint Thomas, US Virgin Islands - The US Virgin Islands, consisting of St John, St Croix and St Thomas, is a great vacation spot and easy to access from most major airlines. The islands get very crowded when the tourist season starts in winter, so I recommend going in summer or fall. The much more relaxed to the pace which the Caribbean is known for. If you have a day free, be sure to check out some of the sailboat charters available to explore around the island. The water is clear and the ocean life is vibrant with life. St Thomas is a great place to visit.
